Dinosaur Stamps

Hello fellow collectors. Im so glad to feature some amazing covers and stamps collection from a friend Paleo Philatelist who specializes on Paleo-Philately. The word Paleophilately has been used by several philatelists who specialize on philatelic materials related to Paleontology. Paleontology, as define by wikipedia, is the study of prehistoric life.

A cover from Turkey designed by Bulent Ates issued on May 6, 2012. The stamps featured Carnotaurus, Pteranodon, T-Rex, and Triceratops with face values 50 Kurus, 1 TL, 1 TL, and 2 TL respectively.
















This set of self-adhesive 3D dinosaur stamps is the first of its kind issued by the South African Post Office. Designed by Chantelle Basson and issued on Feb. 11, 2009, a complete set has 10 stamps featuring 5 dinos: Suchomimus, Afrovenator, Heterodontosaurus, Jobaria, Ouranosaurus.

A used cover from Bolivia issue with stamps issued on Aug. 6, 2012. A complete set has 4 stamps featuring the following giants: Theropoda, Ankylosaurus, Sauropods (more commonly known as Brontosaurs), and Stegosaurus.

















A cover from Germany depicting 4 dinosaur stamps namely: Plateosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops and Diplodocus. The stamps were issued on April 4, 2009 designed by the Deutsche Post.
